Arviat's Media Arts and Film Collective

Since its launch in 2010 the Arviat Film Society has established itself as one of Nunavut's leading media arts and film training collectives.

Arviat Film and its community television station, Arviat TV have been recognized for the use of film and television production, performing arts and participatory culture to support innovative educational programming and community development. Arviat Film Society members also provide support to many visiting and community-based knowledge mobilization and research projects.

In collaboration with established media producers, filmmakers, researchers and artists from across Canada and beyond, AFS supports innovative skills development, knowledge mobilization and educational programming for Inuit youth and adult learners.
